Today, more work was carried out for a regular client in Welwyn Garden City. This is a commercial building with visitors and staff. One of our client’s most essential requirements is having control of keys. Some spaces are rented to the general public for events, so the keys must be restricted to prevent unauthorised copies from being made.
Our locksmith Jamie was tasked with fitting an additional lock to a solid oak door; we decided on a euro deadlock with security escutcheons and a restricted key and turn euro cylinder.
Another essential thing to consider when installing locks on a commercial property is escape routes and fire regulations. We always recommend installing a thumb-turn cylinder on any doors part of an escape route.
